Never had a prom night so didn't have sex on prom night either (but more than once other nights of high school - I was an early bloomer). Never stay in a classic motel. Have never really stayed in a no tell motel, but have met a FWB for fun in a few similar style hotels (Super 8/Days Inn types). A bit of a history buff (though a terrible memory for history) - but enjoy learning about historical stuff on trips. Not sure a trip down roads and reading about what used to be there would trip my trigger though.
Ooohhhh, and early bloomer!
There IS stuff there, stuff not there, stuff being restored, stuff needing restored.
@CleavageFan4U apparently my social media algorithm has noticed the discussion if route 66 stuff as it keeps popping up in my feed. 😆
@CL_Love Haaa, you're welcome.
There is a motel in the local big town that we found rents by the hour.
Our water was out and we were dying for showers. Cowboy called the motel and asked about getting a room. He explained we wouldn't even be there long as we just needed to shower the 6 of us. The desk clerk then offered a lower priced for x number of hours, LOL.
SUUREE, that how you know about this place! 😁
Ah the Coral Court ,the legendary hot sheet of South County. I used to drive by the place and wondered how many of the best of St louis spent a long night having fun. To bad that it was torn down. Should have historic signage posted in its spot 👌 😉
I am a big history buff. When I moved to Jc ,I made it a point to learn the history of new home.
The place was on the National Historic Register, but STILL got torn down!!
Reportedly they're working on getting signage up, hopefully before the 100 year anniversary of Route 66 in 2026.
@CleavageFan4 here in JC we did had a hot sheet hotel until about 10 years ago. In its spot is an updated hotel. Which is sterile and plain Jane. Oh well 🤔
@jc_powerman Bummer. Though I once checked into a No-Tell Motel, and it was so disgusting I left before we did anything.
@CleavageFan4U the one in Jc was a national hotel Chain and was keep up and had a great bar area to meet new play partners
@jc_powerman When I used to go to Little Rock every other week I stayed at the Holiday Inn. It was "ok" but I stayed there because it had a kick-ass bar. The bar reminded me of places back in the late-70s/early 80s, including lots of women that were looking to hook up right that evening.
I read about that place at the Route 66 State Park.
I did not have sex on prom night.
I've had motel sex but it wasn't any different than sex at home. Except one time - I was greeted at the door by a naked man. THAT never happened at home!
Coral Court is fairly famous/infamous.
Not sure if nekkid men appeared at doors however. 😁
What a bummer that it was destroyed, looks like a really cool place!
It was a lovely Art Deco styled place. A small part of it is preserved in a museum in St. Louis.
@CleavageFan4U It seems like it could have been redeveloped into something cool. But I'm sure the cost would have been very high to leave the interesting shell and make the insides into condos or shops.
@smartasswoman It's a preview of the trip. Reading about all the places that USED to be here, there, everywhere.
Very nice
Thanks.
@CleavageFan4U I am a cleavage fan as well.
@Coach1048 Many are.
Oh dang, just thought of a question I should have asked in this post, but dang sure am not going to revise it now to add it!
Did you have sex on your prom night?
@CumTaster782XX It's a common issue.
